About

Gabriella Power

Portrait of Gabriella Power

Broadcast journalist, television host, and MC, with more than a decade at the forefront of news.

Gabriella built her career at News24, formerly Sky News Australia, reporting live from the ground on the country’s biggest breaking stories across politics, crime, business and entertainment. She has crossed live on major stories to CNN, Sky News UK, i24NEWS and 2GB Radio, and has interviewed Prime Ministers, Premiers, industry leaders, elite athletes and Hollywood stars. She has also travelled to the scenes of multiple tragedies to speak with people whose lives have been changed, compassionately sharing their stories with the world.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gabriella cut her teeth as a journalist, putting pressure on the Andrews Government over Victoria’s harsh lockdown restrictions. In 2021, she travelled to Tokyo to cover the Olympic Games as part of the News Corp Australia team, which won a news award for its exceptional coverage. In 2022, Gabriella covered the Australian federal election campaign, grilling both the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader on the ground.

In 2024, Gabriella moved from traditional broadcast into digital, launching and hosting her own program, Power Hour. The show has since drawn more than 200 million views and become one of the only Australian-produced shows to chart consistently in the United States. The Australian reported that her three biggest episodes of 2026 averaged 578,000 views apiece.

Throughout Power Hour, Gabriella has offered her genuine take on pressing issues, covering the world’s biggest stories, elections and challenging media narratives, while also covering entertainment and in-depth human stories. Passionate about the truth, Gabriella is never afraid to challenge those in power, host debate and call for change.

Gabriella has also appeared on screen as a news anchor in the 2022 Australian drama series The Twelve.

Gabriella is an accomplished live host and MC. In 2026, she hosted the Kennedy Awards for Excellence in Journalism alongside Peter Stefanovic. Known for her warmth and authenticity, she brings the same energy to a ballroom as she does to a breaking story.

Why Gabriella

Preparation, presence and delivering with confidence.

01

Performs under pressure

Live television is pressure-tested. With a decade in television, Gabriella has spent her career handling the unpredictable — election nights, breaking news, natural disasters, live crosses and unscripted interviews. She knows how to think fast, stay calm and keep the event moving when the unexpected happens.

02

Commands the room

Warm, polished and in control. Gabriella knows how to connect with an audience — from the opening remarks to the final applause. She takes the time to understand the event and the key messages, ensuring speakers shine, sponsors are meaningfully integrated, and guests feel genuinely welcomed and engaged.

03

Preparation meets personality

Behind every great event is preparation. Gabriella works closely with organisers to understand the brief, rehearse and ensure every detail is considered. On stage, that preparation translates into confidence, energy and an MC who makes the entire event feel seamless.

04

Creates moments that last

With a strong digital following across Australia and the US, Gabriella understands how key moments can resonate beyond the room. She understands compelling content — giving audiences something they want to watch, share and remember.

Gabriella Power hosting Power Hour on the studio set

Power Hour

In 2024, Gabriella transitioned from traditional broadcast into digital, launching and hosting Power Hour. The program quickly established itself as one of the few Australian-produced shows to consistently chart alongside major news programs in the United States, featuring guests including former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, historian Victor Davis Hanson, lawyer Alan Dershowitz and actor Kevin Sorbo.

The show built a strong following in Australia, the United States and internationally, with Gabriella bringing a distinctive voice and perspective to the biggest issues of the day.

Direct, fast-paced and unafraid to tackle big issues, Gabriella challenged political leaders, questioned media narratives and brought her own perspective to the conversations shaping the news cycle. At the same time, she brought warmth, personality and a lighter touch to the show, exploring a wide range of topics and allowing audiences to see the person behind the headlines.
